We are a group of artists, what unites us is the shell shock we “acquired” in Israel’s wars. Despite the shadow that follows us, each one of us in our own way, succeeds to overcome by creating choosing to live using art.
In this exhibition we want to display and show paintings from our daily lives, to do this precisely from a humorous point of view and with a smile.

About the artists:
Gideon Sa’ar
Graduate of the art masterclass course by the artist David Nipo at the studio “Hatchana,” he has a bachelor’s degree in economics and mathematics from Haifa University. During my military service, I was a combat soldier in the Sayeret Shaked unit. I participated in the Yom Kippur War and was wounded in Sinai. We were “attacked” in the media and on current subjects through the media. My works deal with current subjects, current phenomena and contemporary experiences. I create a reality in the figurative style with a touch of surrealism. Born in 1952, lives and works in Israel. The main technique – oil on canvas. Influenced mainly by artists Lucien Freud, Francis Bacon, Van Gogh, David Hockney and Rembrandt. I exhibited at various exhibitions in France, The United States and participates regularly at exhibitions in Israel.
Eyal Ben-Zvi
In 1983 during the first Lebanon War Eyal was injured by a roadside bomb. Today he suffers from visual and memory impairment. Instead of crying over his fate, Eyal finds peace in arts, frees his feelings, creates dissonance and transforms “The curse” to a blessing. Eyal creates collages where he collects from street billboards and displays in an exhibition “Other Cargo” an expressive pop-up installation overlooking the multi-colored connections that exist in Israeli society. Expressing himself through art. He generates emotion and finds art to connect with people.
Yanai Glikman, Drawing, Sculpture
Graduate of the Art Institute Chicago MA, BA University of Haifa – 1986, 1990
Yanai is an IDF disabled veteran hospitalized many months in a body cast, the experience of severe hospitalization he chooses to express and combine by recycling in a dialogue with trees that doesn’t stop. Using urban waste material in art. The preoccupation of the human body leads to the question of the body and mental wholeness. Dealing with the torso positions enables the internal process. The works are full of passion, a thirst for embrace, proximity and immortalization of the experience of the moment. Exhibitions: Chicago, New York, Poland, Paris, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Herzliya, Holon.
